Aviation is not only regarded as an economic catalyst, it is also one of the fastest growing sector of the world economy. This study however examines the impact of infrastructural facilities on operational performance at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja which is regarded as regional hub in West Africa. A combination of both primary and secondary data were employed in the study, information on ground facilities and ancillary services were provided by Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) while that of navigational aids were provided by Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA). Regression Analysis was used to show the impact of airport operation on infrastructural facilities at the airport. Results emanating from the study shows that the impact of airport facilities have significant impact on airport operation but ticketing/reservation, security checks and police/other enforcement agencies activities have direct impact on airport operation. Also, the study shows that without significant improvement in facilities there cannot be optimum operation at the airport and that improvement and upgrade of existing facilities which will promote effective air transport operations in the Nigerian Airports.
